FAQ
These Teriyaki Noodles are an easy 30-minute dish disguised as a restaurant-worthy meal. Ramen noodles, a better-than-takeout teriyaki sauce, and steamed vegetables cook quickly on the stovetop, leaving you with unbelievable comfort food that's packed with flavor.
Ramen (/ˈrɑːmən/) (拉麺, ラーメン or らーめん, rāmen, [ɾaꜜːmeɴ]) is a Japanese noodle dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles (中華麺, chūkamen) served in a broth; common flavors are soy sauce and miso, with typical toppings including sliced pork (chāshū), nori (dried seaweed), menma (bamboo shoots), and scallions.
Make the Ramen. Bring to a boil over medium-high; remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce and salt, stirring until combined. Season with additional salt to taste, if desired. Cover and keep warm over low heat.
Go with Miso for Your Broth. If you want the most authentic umami (meaty and delicious) taste for your ramen broth, you can mix miso with the boiling water. Of course, it's perfectly fine to use pork or chicken bones together with miso as well for an even richer taste.
Sides often include gyoza or fried rice, but in some cases, side dishes won't be available at all.
